May our communication with one another be Sangha
Let us explore the meaning and exemplify the practice of internationality: September 2-11 Adhisthana
Within an overall theme of spiritual community and internationality, we will to explore a host of issues, including:
- what does Triratna have to offer in a time of environmental change, and political and economic uncertainty?
- young people – how can we attract them and support them in deepening their practice? Where is this going well, and what can we learn from those places?
- the Triratna Economic Review – how can we best fund our core bodies and innovation? How can we make best use of our assets and reserves? Are there ways we could cooperate more effectively?
- how can our Area Councils be most effective? Can they offer an ‘bird’s eye’ perspective for each Area, in a similar way that the College Chair’s Council seeks to do? How do Area Councils need to be similar to each other, and how might they need to be different?
For each of these themes we’ll be joined by a guest to the meeting who has particular expertise, and can help us in our exploration of the issues.
Our last in-person meeting at Nagpur, Feburary 2025
Booking information
We start with supper (6pm) on Wednesday 2nd and conclude mid-morning on Friday 11th (September).
Although the event is on a dana basis, Adhisthana still need your booking information for room allocation and food requirements, so…
The timing of this gathering was chosen to avoid College meetings (2 intensive meetings next to each other was found to be too much) but offered the opportunity to stay on for Vessantara’s sadhana convention (immersion retreat) from 11th-18th. That is not a dana event so needs paying for – if you need help with that, you could try Adhisthana’s bursary fund, or ask us to see if Future Dharma can help.
